So we went to Missoula, Montana this past weekend for Chad's football game. They played the Montana Grizzlies and put up a good fight but unfortunately they lost. We left Friday afternoon and the flight was only an hour and a half. We (me and Chad's parents) flew with the team. It was so nice of them to take me with them. I had a lot of fun being with them. Anyway so we got there Friday afternoon and rented a car to go exploring. We drove around to see some sights. It is very pretty there. There are millions of pine trees everywhere. We wanted to see this Ghost town that was supposed to be a "Must see" but it turned out to be just a few old cabins and so we didn't even drive all the way to see it. So we turned around and wanted to find a fun little town with a good place to eat and some fun shops and we looked on the map and there was a little place called Frenchtown that was only like twenty miles away from where we were. Well we got to Frenchtown and it was quite the town. There was a gas station and a few other services. Main Street on the other hand was pretty amazing. For about the first 1/2 mile there were mobile homes and it was a dump and then all of the sudden it turned into these nice nice new homes with huge yards and then before you knew it turned into mobile homes again. It was the weirdest thing I've ever seen. So needless to say we didn't find any fun little shops or good places to eat so we went back to Missoula and ate at this delicious pizza place. After we ate Chad called us and he had a couple hours that he could spend with us so we went and picked him up. As we were pulling into our hotel we noticed these really big ladies waiting for a taxi. They had on these tiny little dresses and big blonde hair with tons of makeup. We laughed and thought that's how they must do it in Montana. Well we went into the hotel and were waiting for the elevator and when it opened there were six more of these really really big ladies with tiny mini skirts and dresses and huge blonde hair and tons of make up. Well it turns out they weren't ladies! THEY WERE TRANSVESTITES!!!!!!! They were as tall as Chad and one of them said Hi to him and he/she had the lowest voice ever. It was disgusting. And when we got on the elevator it reaked of stinky womens perfume. It was funny because none of us pushed the level button we were supposed to be on because I guess we were all in shock. I think there must have been some sort of convention for the he/she people because I heard a guy talking about it before we got on the elevator. So that was my culture shock experience. On Saturday morning we got up and went to a Farmer's market/Street Fair. The street fair was all hippy stuff. They were belly dancers and just weird weird things. There wasn't thing I was even tempted to buy which was weird because I'm usually a sucker for things like that. It was my first time going to the farmers market and I loved it. I wish we had something like that in Cedar. I loved all of the fruits and vegetables. After that it was game time. You would not believe the amount of fan support that team has. It is unreal. We went there at 11:00am and the game didn't even start until 1:00pm and they were people everywhere having tailgate parties. It was amazing. The stadium seats 26,000 people and it was full. Like jam packed! The game was good. SUU held them clear until the middle of the second quarter and then Montana made a touchdown and it seemed like it was all downhill from there. SUU defense is amazing but the offense kind of struggles. They are working on it though and hopefully they'll step it up this weekend. The guy Chad went up against was 320 pounds and 6'8. He was a monster. Chad looked small compared to him and Chad is not a small guy. But Chad held up really well against him and I was very proud of him. So that was our weekend. Sorry for the longest blog ever. It was just a very eventful weekend and I wanted to share it:)
